PBSt is a non-toxic buffer solution used for simple sperm washing.
It is a water-based salt solution containing sodium chloride and potassium chloride.
The ion concentration of the solution is similar (isosmotic) to the sperms and doesn’t involve swelling / shrinkage of cells.
